Cuttlebone, the internal shell of the Cuttlefish contains the highest amount of natural Calcium plus Phosphate as well as many other important trace minerals. Cuttlebone has been
used for well over a century to provide supplemental Calcium for pet birds. Birds naturally crave its lime and salt flavour. Calcium is needed for strong bones, proper muscle functions, egg development, and for the prevention of health problems like egg binding.
