Ducorps Cockatoo (Cacatua ducorpsii)The Ducorps cockatoo is about 12 inches tall. It has an unusual tail which when fully extended has the shape of a sail boat's sail. The Ducorps is a very beautiful and uncommon bird! Indeed at Piper's Piece we are particularly proud that in 1994 we bred and hand raised the first Ducorps Cockatoo to be born in the United Kingdom.Like most cockatoos, they can make wonderful pets and are not as loud or demanding as most other cockatoos. Although they are relatively quiet they possesses a good ability to mimic human speech. They make for a sweet lifetime companion that the whole family will enjoy.
