Marajo Amazon (Amazona xantholaema)Mature birds are about at 14 inches long at maturity. They are a larger sub species of the Yellow fronted Amazon, though they have more yellow on their front and face. The Marajo is quite a rare bird, indeed Piper's Piece houses the only unrelated breeding pair in the UK. They tend to be very good talkers and have a nice temperament. Their main diet should primarily be nuts, seeds, fruits, and green vegetables. A good parrot mix and Kaytee pellets are a perfect solution. Find out if we have any Marajo Amazon available now.
