Greater Sulphur Cockatoo (Cacatua galerita galerita)

They are very intelligent birds which make excellent pets due to the bond they form with their owners. All Sulphur-crests love to be cuddled and must be taught independence as a youngster. If spoiled, they can be very loud and scream for attention. 

Most Sulphurs are loud birds and can have their screaming behavior modified with proper training. If left alone for several hours a day with nothing to keep them entertained, they can develop into screamers or pluck their feathers from boredom. 

Their diet should consist of a good parrot mix and Kaytee pellets, as well as various fruit and vegetables.
