Greenwing Macaw (Ara chloroptera)

The Greenwing is the biggest of the commonly available macaws at 36 inches. They have substantial bodies, heads and beak size. 

You could be concerned about the almost threatening size of their beaks, however the truth is that they have a reputation of being one of the most calm and naturally gentle birds.

They are beautiful and highly intelligent.

Their diet should consist of a good parrot mix and Kaytee pellets, walnuts, brazil nuts, peanuts and fruit & vegetables.
